Bounded by St Mary’s convent and Hanwell Cemetery to the rear, the side and rear brickwork facades are staggered to reduce the visual impact of the building. The transfer structures required to support the steps in facade have been carefully coordinated with the architects to minimise the effect on the internal layouts and maximise window heights.
